Playbook #405 of 1001 One-Time Price · No Monthly Fees Updated for the 2026 Rules

The Clean Hands Method™

How To Fix Your Own
Credit Report — Honestly.

The self-serve, pay-once dispute engine that does the one thing the $119/month apps and the done-for-you "experts" can't: it only helps you delete what's actually wrong — and flat-out refuses to help you lie. That honesty is the whole moat. It's also exactly what buried Lexington Law under a $2.7 billion judgment.

Clean Hands

Educational tool · Not a credit repair organization · Not legal advice · Your FCRA rights, in your own hands.

If any of this is you

The system isn't broken. It's working exactly as designed — against you.

In 2026 the CFPB was gutted. 2.7 million credit complaints went unanswered. Two of the three bureaus quietly started resolving fewer disputes in consumers' favor. Nobody is coming to clean your report for you. So the question is just: do you do it right, or do you get scammed twice?

You paid a "credit repair" service

$49 became $119/month. Still locked into "monitoring" you never wanted. Score barely moved.

You handed a stranger your SSN

A done-for-you "expert" has your full identity in a Google Sheet. You'll never get it back.

A reel told you to "dispute everything"

Now the bureau flagged you as frivolous, and the 2026 portal won't even open your complaint.

There's a real error costing you thousands

Wrong balance. A debt that isn't yours. A paid account showing unpaid. And you don't know the words to make them delete it.

Read this before you spend a dollar

Who CLEAN HANDS™ is built for — and who it will turn away.

You have errors on your report — inaccurate, outdated, duplicated, or flat-out not yours.
You just won (or settled) a debt case and now need the tradeline cleaned up. This is Step 2 after the lawsuit.
You refuse to pay $1,400 a year or hand your identity to a stranger to do what you can do yourself in an afternoon.
You want the truth, including the truth about what credit repair genuinely can't do.
You want to "sweep" accurate debts you actually owe. This app will refuse you, and tell you why. Try a competitor — and good luck when it's prosecuted as fraud.
You want to fake identity theft to delete a real account. That's a federal crime. Hard no. Forever.

The honesty IS the product

The named mechanism

The CLEAN HANDS Method™

Old equity doctrine: you cannot ask a court for relief if you come with dirty hands. Same with the bureaus. Come clean — dispute only what's truly wrong — and the law is a weapon in your hand. Ten steps. The first word spells the method; the second spells the discipline.

Reading your report like an investigator.

Pull all three — free, every week.START HERE
AnnualCreditReport.com is the only federally authorized source, and it's now free weekly from Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. Pull all three — items appear on one bureau and not another constantly, and that mismatch is itself a flag.
The reporting clock (FCRA §605)
Most negatives must fall off after 7 years. Chapter 7 bankruptcy: 10 years. Hard inquiries: 2 years. Anything still showing past its window is automatically disputable as obsolete — no argument needed.
Investigator move: find the "date of first delinquency." The clock runs from there, and re-aging it forward is illegal.
Medical debt in 2026 — what actually changed
The federal rule that would have wiped medical debt off reports was vacated in July 2025 and is dead in 2026 — so don't assume a bill is gone. But the bureaus' own voluntary policies still stand: paid medical collections are removed, balances under $500 are excluded, and nothing reports until it's 12 months past due. Plus 15+ states banned medical-debt reporting outright. Medical bills are riddled with errors, which makes them among the most disputable items on any report — when the error is real.
The 2026 process change nobody told you
As of February 2026, the CFPB will not act on a credit complaint unless you disputed directly with the bureau first and can attest that 45 days have passed. Translation: the direct-dispute letter isn't optional anymore — it's the required first move. CLEAN HANDS was built around exactly this order of operations.

Before you talk yourself out of it

Three honest answers.

"Can't I just do this for free with templates online?"
You can — and we'll tell you that to your face. What you're paying $97 once for is the Five-Flag Filter that keeps you out of fraud, the exact statute citations, the 2026 process order, the clock tracker, and the bilingual edition. Free templates won't stop you from disputing something accurate and getting flagged. This is a guardrail, not a gate.
"Will this guarantee my items get deleted?"
No, and run from anyone who promises that — guaranteeing results is illegal under the Credit Repair Organizations Act, and it's part of why Lexington Law is gone. What's guaranteed is that you'll dispute only what you have a real right to dispute, with the right words, in the right order. Legitimate errors get deleted at a high rate. Accurate debts don't — and shouldn't.
"Why so cheap if it's this good?"
Because the monthly-fee model is the scam. Charging you $119 every month forever requires never actually fixing your credit. We'd rather charge once, fix it, and earn the referral when a bureau breaks the law and you need an attorney. Gieo nhân nào, gặt quả đó — you reap what you sow.

One price. Yours for life.
